"The Memory of Air" brings together oil and acrylic paintings with the deflated balloons used in their creation.
The project reflects on how quickly our perception of the world can change. What appears stable, familiar and convincing can become uncertain once the conditions that support it begin to shift. Technology, media and artificial intelligence increasingly shape this experience, constantly reframing what we see and how we understand it.
The deflated balloons are essential to this idea. When inflated, they appear smooth, complete, and convincing. Once the air leaves them, the same images become distorted and fragile. Presented beside the paintings, they reveal how quickly a seemingly stable form can collapse and acquire a different meaning.
